CNC Milling Programmer – Mastercam

Department / Emphasis: Milling Department

Duties & Responsibilities

Primary duty of programming CNC machining centers with Mastercam generating 2D/3D toolpaths including surface machining. Indexable or positioning multiple operations in one holding using 4th & 5th axis abilities a plus. This includes generating setup documentation and performing program edits as required. Supporting duties of involvement with process development, improvement, and fixture design. Setup and operation of the machines may be required from time to time as needed. This individual works closely with the Department Manager, Machinists of the department, Production Coordinator, and Operations Manager. Additionally, responsibilities include quoting discussions as well as following all QMS (Quality Management System) processes and procedures.

Position Specific Qualifications/Skills/Experience

Hiring Decision Priority – 25%
  • Recent Mastercam experience in programming 3-axis mills (Haas Machines a plus).
  • Experience with 2D/3D(surfacing) toolpaths; 4th & 5th axis positioning a plus.
  • Has an understanding of GD&T.
  • Familiar with the requirements of ISO 9001 / AS9100 documentation.
